Please Kill Me: Voices from the Archives

Based on the best-selling oral history of all time, this limited run podcast featured narration, archival tape, and lots of music. Jon mixed and edited the audio, as well as advising the authors, Legs McNeil (inventor of the term “punk”) and Gillian McCain on how to write for broadcast. Jon also coached the narrator, Hollywood legend Michael DeBarre.

Eavesdropping on America

Jon developed this sketch comedy show that ran for two years. He was head writer, sound designer, actor, and created all of the music for the series. He was also responsible for recruiting talent for the show, and managed the production schedule. The show was called “A bizarre, hallucinatory voyage into the minds of very average and very insane Americans,” by Splice Today.

Narcotica

When Jon learned that his favorite writers on drug policy were coming together to create a podcast, he offered his services to getting this show off of the ground. As the first producer of this show, Jon helped the team develop the structure of each podcast, instructed the writers how to write and collect tape for audio, and mixed and edited the first episodes of the show.
